David Jones is the founder and lead trainer of Hold The Line K9. With a career spanning over three decades, David began his journey in 1994 as a Military Working Dog Handler for the U.S. Army. His expertise eventually led him to the Department of Defense Military Working Dog School, where he served as an instructor developing elite teams for critical national security missions.

David’s experience extends deep into law enforcement and the federal sector. He has served as a handler, trainer, and supervisor for a Missouri Sheriff’s Department and worked as a specialized Explosive Detection Canine Handler at the federal level. Since 2014, David has also applied his operational "real-world" insights to the competitive arena as a certified judge for canine nose work.
